A Manager’s Day at the Workplace – CoWorkSpace

A Manager’s Day at the Workplace – CoWorkSpace

Starting East

Most mornings begin at Tampines West. The train ride into town has become part of the rhythm—muted, unhurried. It gives me time to settle into the day before things pick up speed.

Breakfast, Always

Downtown MRT drops me off close to Lau Pa Sat. I head there first to get my fix of Har Gow and Teh C Kosong Peng.

No queues yet, just regulars ordering their usuals. It’s a slight pause before the day unfolds.

Entering the Flow

By the time I reach 6 Raffles Quay, the lobby’s already alive. Security nods.

Cleaners are at it—swift, steady, present but never loud. I press level 16 on the lift panel outside.

The system assigns a lift based on flow. It’s subtle, but you can feel the rhythm.

Doors Open, Music Plays

I tap my CoWorkSpace access card. A soft chime, then the door unlocks.

Jazzy lounge music greets me, like it always does. It’s not just background noise. It adds character to the space, and over time, becomes something you expect.

Settling In

Members arrive not long after. Some head straight to their desks. Others offer a “morning” on the way in. The atmosphere stays light.

We pursue individual paths; still, camaraderie unites us.

This workplace holds space for both focus and connection—something businesses often tell us they value.

Coffee in the Air

At some point, the De’longhi comes to life.

The scent of coffee drifts across the room.

Even if I’m not the one drinking it, I still notice the shift.

The mood gets warmer. Less static.

A small but steady signal that we’re all getting into our groove.

The Quiet Window for Lunch

I head out before the lunch crowd takes over.

Back at Lau Pa Sat, the pace is still manageable.

I know which stalls are generous, and which move fast. Ordering feels easy.

Familiar faces, reliable flavours. No rush, just rhythm.

In the Thick of It

Afternoons carry their own beat. Meetings. Client calls. Guests arriving. Conversations, footsteps, the occasional burst of laughter.

I monitor the door—when someone is at the door; I help unlock it. It’s not assigned. We just take turns, almost instinctively.

Some colleagues swing by reception to leave a few parcels with me. Then they linger, chatting for a bit before heading off.

Others sit at the tables nearby, unwrapping lunch, scrolling through their phones or reading a book.

The reception area isn’t just for guests—it’s become a shared refuge of calm.

That kind of easy use of space defines the workplace here.

Behind the scenes, there’s an office administration rhythm that keeps everything moving, quietly but intentionally.

Everyone finds their own pocket, their own pace.

Wrapping Up, or Staying On

As the day winds down, a few pack up.

Others stay on—some deep in work, others on calls.

Working at CoWorkSpace doesn’t press for a fixed end to the day.

The space adapts to the people inside.

I wrap up too. I exit, conscious that ideas continue to develop behind those doors.

There’s a steadiness to the place that doesn’t fade when the lights dim.

Above the hot desks, you'll find our coworking signboard pictured here.

That’s the workplace I’ve grown to value—one that holds its rhythm and gives you room to find yours.
