Coworking Space Singapore: Private, Focused Desks in the CBD
If you are looking for a coworking space in Singapore, you are weighing cost, flexibility, and how much privacy you are willing to trade for them.
Most coworking is large, open-plan, and busy. This guide walks through the types of coworking on offer, what they cost, which districts suit which teams, and how to choose a provider — then shows you a quieter, semi-private alternative in the heart of the CBD at 6 Raffles Quay.
What Is a Coworking Space?
A coworking space is a shared, fully serviced workspace where desks, internet, meeting rooms, and day-to-day operations are provided for you on a flexible term — so you avoid the fit-out, furniture, and lock-in of a traditional office. Across the Singapore market, coworking generally comes in two forms.
Hot Desk

Any free seat in a shared area, booked by the day or month. The cheapest and most flexible option, best for solo workers and occasional use — though it offers no fixed spot and the least privacy.
Dedicated Desk

Your own permanent desk in a shared office, with the same seat and setup every day.
It balances low cost with consistency and suits lean teams that want a stable base without a private suite.
Where We Fit
We focus on dedicated desks, with our own twist — set in a semi-private room shared by only two or three companies, so you get far more privacy and quiet than a typical open floor. We do not offer hot desks. If you need a fully private, lockable room — which is a serviced office rather than coworking — see our serviced office in Singapore.
Why Businesses Choose Coworking in Singapore
Move In Immediately

You pay per desk per month with no fit-out, furniture, or utility bills to absorb, which keeps your workspace cost easy to forecast and easy to scale down if plans change.
A Credible CBD Address

A recognised Central Business District address strengthens your standing with clients and makes meetings easier to arrange, without the cost of leasing a full office to get it.
Flexibility to Scale

Add desks when you hire, or step back when you do not, and expand into a nearby private suite when the team outgrows a desk — all without restarting a lease.

Where to Base Your Coworking Space in Singapore
Raffles Place / Raffles Quay (CBD Core)

The traditional financial heart is one of Singapore’s densest coworking clusters, taking in Raffles Quay and Cecil Street, with landmark developments such as the upcoming Solitaire on Cecil among its notable addresses.
It is tightly connected by MRT and surrounded by dining — and it is where our own coworking space sits.
See our coworking space at 6 Raffles Quay, a two-minute sheltered walk from Raffles Place MRT. Best for teams who meet clients often and want the most recognisable business address.
Shenton Way / Tanjong Pagar

A growing flexible-workspace hub for tech and professional-services firms, running from Shenton Way through Tanjong Pagar and Peck Seah Street — where notable addresses include PS100.
The stock skews slightly newer, and it is a short walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT.
Orchard

Coworking here skews premium and lifestyle-oriented, spanning Scotts Road and Penang Road, with well-known addresses such as 15 Scotts and Vision Crest, all near the Orchard, Somerset, and Dhoby Ghaut MRT stations.
A polished base for client-facing teams who value the location.
How to Choose a Coworking Space
Owner or Tenant?

The coworking industry has a track record of operators scaling back or closing sites when their own leases or funding fall through — leaving members to scramble for a new desk.
We own our premises rather than rent it, so your space stays put.
No sudden relocations, and none of that operator risk passed on to you.
Privacy and Noise

Open-plan floors can be loud and exposing.
Ask how many people share the space and whether quiet areas and call booths are available — our rooms hold only two to three companies for exactly this reason.
Business-Grade IT and Security

Reliable high-speed WiFi, secure printing, lockers, and support for cloud VoIP separate a real workspace from a café with desks.
Confirm what protects your data and your devices.
Meeting Rooms and Room to Scale

Check whether meeting rooms are bookable on demand and whether you can add desks — or move into a private suite — as the team grows, without penalty.
Our Coworking Space in Singapore’s CBD — 6 Raffles Quay
We run a single, semi-private coworking space in the CBD core, so our full attention goes into it. It is coworking without the crowd — dedicated desks in a shared office of just two to three companies.
Dedicated Desks in a Semi-Private Room

Your own permanent desk in a shared office with only two or three companies, and we take care to keep competing industries apart.
Meeting Room Rental

Bookable rooms for pitches, negotiations, and board sessions, so serious conversations happen in the right setting rather than at your desk.
Locker Rental

Secure storage for personal items and sensitive documents, supporting a clean-desk, clear-screen policy.
Private Call Booths

Quiet booths for sensitive calls and unscheduled conversations, so confidentiality is protected without disrupting the floor.
Owner-Operated Stability

A base you can plan around — not one you will be asked to vacate when a head lease ends.

Frequently Asked Questions about Coworking Spaces in Singapore
How much does a coworking space cost in Singapore?
It depends on the desk type, the district, and how long you commit. Hot desks are the most affordable, dedicated desks cost a little more for a permanent spot, and a desk in a semi-private room sits highest for the added quiet. Our dedicated desks are priced per person per month, from S$850. Because the space is turnkey, there are no separate fit-out or utility bills to budget for.
Are there free or low-cost coworking options in Singapore?
Yes — public spaces like the National Library offer a free place to work, and we cover the trade-offs in our guide to coworking at Singapore’s National Library. They suit occasional solo work, but you give up a fixed desk, privacy, meeting rooms, mail handling, and a business address. A paid dedicated desk makes sense once you need those consistently.
What is the difference between a hot desk and a dedicated desk?
A hot desk is any free seat you use when you visit — flexible and cheap, but never the same spot. A dedicated desk is permanently yours, with the same seat and setup every day, which suits teams that want consistency and a stable base. We offer dedicated desks in a semi-private room, not hot desks.
Can I book a coworking desk for just a day?
We do not sell public day passes — our model is a monthly dedicated desk rather than drop-in access. The one exception is a guest accompanying an existing member: if a member brings someone to work alongside them at our premises, we can arrange a day pass for that guest. If you are looking for a longer-term base, book a viewing instead.
Is a coworking space private, or is it noisy and open-plan?
That varies enormously by provider. Large operators tend to be open and busy. Ours is deliberately different — dedicated desks in a shared room of only two or three companies, with call booths for private conversations, so you get coworking economics without the open-plan noise.
Should I choose a coworking space or a serviced office?
Choose coworking when you need one or a few desks, low cost, and maximum flexibility. Choose a serviced office when you need a private, lockable suite and a managed headquarters feel. We offer both at Raffles Quay, so you can start on a desk and move into a suite as you grow.
Can I register my business at a coworking address?
A dedicated desk membership can, in many cases, be used for business registration and correspondence once we have provided written consent. Enquire and we will confirm what applies to your plan.
How well connected is a CBD coworking space?
Our 6 Raffles Quay location sits between Raffles Place and Marina Bay, a short sheltered walk from Raffles Place MRT, with Downtown MRT and a taxi stand nearby — easy for both daily commutes and client visits.
Is 24/7 access available?
Yes. Reception is staffed during business hours, and members have 24/7 access to the premises. Note that air-conditioning follows building hours and is not available past 6 p.m.
